Which airlines fly from Dubai to Kutaisi?

There is no direct air service between Dubai and Kutaisi International Airport, but the journey can be made with a single stop, which usually means no more than a few hours of waiting at the transit airport.

One option is to fly from Dubai to Warsaw with flydubai and continue from there straight to Kutaisi International Airport with Wizz Air.

You can also fly from Dubai to Larnaca, a route operated by Cyprus Airways, and then take a Wizz Air flight on to Kutaisi. Riga is another possible gateway: you reach it with airBaltic and continue to Kutaisi with Wizz Air.

Abu Dhabi used to be one of the best options of all — you could get there from Dubai by public transport or taxi and then fly direct to Kutaisi International Airport with Wizz Air. Please read the 2026 update below before you plan this variant.

With one stop, the whole journey takes roughly 10 to 12 hours. The direct flight from Abu Dhabi took a little over three hours.

2026 update: what has changed on this route

Air routes change constantly, so always check the current schedule before you buy. The most important change is this: Wizz Air closed its Emirati subsidiary, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, on 1 September 2025, so the direct flight from Abu Dhabi to Kutaisi is no longer operated. As things stand today, no airline links Kutaisi International Airport directly with Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah – the route can only be flown with a connection.

Practical ways to reach western Georgia from Dubai

• Batumi on a direct flight. flydubai flies non-stop from Dubai to Batumi International Airport. Batumi is about 145 km from Kutaisi, which is two to three hours by minibus, train or taxi.
• Tbilisi on a direct flight. flydubai also operates Dubai – Tbilisi flights, and the flight takes around three hours. From Tbilisi, Kutaisi is three to four hours away by train or minibus.
• Straight into Kutaisi via a European hub. From Kutaisi International Airport, Wizz Air serves Warsaw, Budapest, Prague, Milan, Rome, Athens, Thessaloniki, Larnaca, Berlin, Dortmund, Katowice, Wrocław, Vilnius, Barcelona and Madrid. Fly from Dubai to any of these cities and you are one connection away from Kutaisi.

What to watch out for when booking a connecting trip

• If you buy the two tickets separately (flydubai first, then Wizz Air, for example), you are making a self-transfer: if the first flight is delayed, the second airline takes no responsibility. In that case leave yourself a buffer of at least three to four hours.
• On separate tickets your luggage is not checked through automatically – you will have to collect it at the transit airport and check it in again.
• When connecting in Europe, check the visa rules. Holders of a Georgian biometric passport can travel to the Schengen area visa-free for short stays, while some other transit countries require a separate visa or travel authorisation.
• Low-cost airlines do not include hold luggage in the ticket price, so add the baggage fee before you compare the final cost of the options.
