Which airlines fly from Copenhagen to Tbilisi?
There is a wide choice of connecting flights out of Copenhagen. Most of them are operated by the Turkish carriers Pegasus Airlines and Turkish Airlines.
With Pegasus you reach Tbilisi via Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. With Turkish Airlines you first fly to Istanbul Airport and continue from there to Tbilisi International Airport.
You can also fly from Copenhagen to Tbilisi with airBaltic, changing planes in Riga.
Which airline has the cheapest tickets from Copenhagen to Tbilisi?
On the Copenhagen – Tbilisi route, Pegasus and airBaltic usually offer the best fares.
How to buy cheap flight tickets from Copenhagen to Tbilisi
- Book your tickets 1.5-2 months in advance.
- Choose a midweek departure rather than a weekend. Demand is lower on working days, so fares tend to be lower too.
- Book both legs of your trip at once. Airlines and agencies usually price a return ticket better than two separate one-way tickets.
- Use a search engine that brings together almost every airline and flight, so you can find and book the option that suits you.
Direct Copenhagen – Tbilisi flights: what changed in 2026
On 27 June 2026 the Scandinavian low-cost airline Norwegian launched direct flights between Copenhagen and Tbilisi. It is the first non-stop air link between the Danish and Georgian capitals, and Norwegian is currently the only airline flying the route without a connection.
- Frequency: two flights a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Aircraft: Boeing 737 MAX 8 or Boeing 737-800, in an all-economy layout.
- Flight time: about 4 hours 15 minutes; the distance is roughly 2,805 kilometres.
- Departure: from Terminal 2 of Copenhagen Airport.
Airlines adjust their schedules from season to season, so always check the flight and the fare for your exact date in our search engine before you travel.
Connecting routes: where it is best to change planes
If the days of the direct flight do not fit your plans, there are several one-stop ways to get from Copenhagen to Tbilisi:
- Istanbul – Turkish Airlines (Istanbul Airport) and Pegasus Airlines (Sabiha Gökçen Airport). The most frequent departures and the widest choice of fares.
- Riga – airBaltic. Often the cheapest option, as Riga is close to Copenhagen and the connection is short.
- Warsaw – LOT Polish Airlines.
- Vienna – Austrian Airlines.
- Munich – Lufthansa.
Depending on the layover, a connecting journey normally takes between 7 and 14 hours. When you compare tickets, pay attention to the transfer time: less than an hour is risky for an international connection, while 2-3 hours leaves a comfortable margin.
The Kutaisi option
Direct flights from Copenhagen to Kutaisi Airport have operated in the past, but they are no longer in the current schedule. If you are heading for western Georgia it is still worth checking Kutaisi, since low-cost airlines regularly refresh the routes they serve from that airport.
Practical information for travellers
- Airports: departure from Copenhagen Airport Kastrup (CPH), arrival at Tbilisi International Airport (TBS).
- Time difference: Georgia is 3 hours ahead of Denmark in winter and 2 hours ahead in summer.
- Visas: Georgian citizens with a biometric passport do not need a visa for a short stay in Denmark, which is part of the Schengen area – up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Citizens of Denmark and other EU countries can enter Georgia without a visa for up to one year. Rules change, so check an official source before you travel.
- Currency: the Danish krone (DKK) in Denmark and the lari (GEL) in Georgia. Euros are not accepted everywhere in Denmark, but card payments are possible almost anywhere.
- From the airport into town: Tbilisi airport is about 17 kilometres from the city centre, served by a city bus and taxis. For a night arrival it is better to book a transfer in advance.
When to buy your ticket for a better price
- July, August and the New Year holidays are the most expensive periods, when demand peaks.
- Fares are usually lower in spring and autumn – April-May and September-October – when the weather in Georgia is pleasant as well.
- Because the direct flight operates only twice a week, book it as early as you can: seats are limited and the price climbs quickly as the departure date approaches.
- Compare the direct and the connecting options: a change in Riga or Istanbul can sometimes be considerably cheaper.
